We're here for you ... so please respect the following library policies that go along with the privilege of membership:

Membership is free to everyone in the Greater Montreal area. There are no geographical restrictions.

Library Card:

• Fill out a registration card. Proof of address is required such as a driver's license, hospital card (no medicare cards), lease, etc...
• An Adult Reference is required - this can be the name and phone number of a friend or relative not living at the same address.
• Parents must be present for registration of children 14 years and under.
  

Borrowing Books: Up to 8 books, 2 audio-cassettes or book-cassettes may be borrowed for a two week period. The library also has magazines for loan. Exception: Only 2 books may be borrowed when a library card is first issued.

Internet Use:  We are pleased to provide Internet service to children.  A permission slip, provided by the library, is needed for use of the Internet. Parents of childen under 14 years of age must sign the permission slip in person.

Overdue Books:

•  There is an overdue fine of $.05 per item per day for items returned after the due date.
•  Unpaid fines will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges. 
•  If an item is lost or damaged, the replacement price of the item will be charged.
•  Repeated defacement of books and other library property will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges.

Regulations:

1. Children under the age of 8 years old may not be left alone in the library.
2. The library is open to the public, however, any person who exhibits offensive behaviour shall be asked to leave.
3. There is no eating, drinking, smoking allowed in the library.
4. The staff reserves the right to inspect any bags.
